The team at PBXChoices.com reminds everyone that you must set your Jaxtr preferences correctly so all calls will be forwarded to your switchboard or PBX. Simply remove the checkmark for "Receive calls only from people I approve" in your Jaxtr control panel. You must be logged in to Jaxtr to do so. After removing the checkmark your security settings will be changed. Maintaining privacy should now be controlled by your answering software, based on preferences. In a standard Jaxtr setup users often want the box checked, thus allowing calls only from those they approve. Most people who use Jaxtr to talk only to one person prefer the default setting, thus blocking calls from those they do not know. This is very important if you put a Jaxtr link or call button on Facebook, Myspace, etc. [+]

More new and free voip calls thanks to Jaxtr include calls from Bangladesh, India, and the Slovak Republic. Remember, Jaxtr calls are free for the caller and the person receiving the call. Both are given telephone numbers that are local numbers whenever possible. As for call routing, all free phone calls from calls from Bangladesh, India, and the Slovak Republic were routed according to my Jaxtr rules. Then they are routed to my RingCentral PBX, which determines what to do with the calls. During business hours - yes, RingCentral knows my business hours - the calls are routed to my cell phone. To take advantage of this very neat setup visit the Jaxtr website. They also give you icons and widgets if you have a MySpace or Facebook account. Other social networking sites can [+]

I was sitting in a restaurant in Windsor Missouri when my cell phone rang. I didn't recognize the country code in the caller ID. It started with +213-7. Since I was only drinking coffee at the moment I answered the phone. The call was from Algeria. A gentleman named Khalid said he signed up for Jaxtr service, got a free phone number, and click-to-call service based on his online ID. I thought it was pretty nice to be talking to Algeria, while I suspect I was the only one talking to anyone outside of Missouri, not to mention outside the United States. It didn't cost Khalid anything, and it wasn't costing me anything. If you want to talk anywhere in the world for free, including business users, try Jaxtr. You'll find [+]

Did you know RingCentral - the virtual PBX people - offer "click to call" buttons that function with PBX extensions? In addition to providing their customers with telephone numbers throughout the United States, RingCentral starts their users with five PBX extensions to customize the caller experience. You can make your office look like a big professional operation, even if you are a one or two person operation. For example, we sell on eBay, we write for blogs such as this one, and we sell orchids in our retail store. My wife an I each have cell phones. We use all five of our Ring Central PBX extensions. One extension passes the caller right to our store if the select "orchids" from the menu. Another extension sends the caller to my cell phone or my wife's [+]

Yesterday I received a call from Bulgaria. Thanks to Jaxtr the call was free for both of us. Here is how I routed the call. Jaxtr answered the call and sent it to my RingCentral virtual PBX. You can program RingCentral so it knows your normal business hours. Since yesterday was Sunday my call answering rules told the call controller to send the caller directly to voicemail. The message from Bulgaria was clear and perfect. If the caller had called today - Monday - here is how the call would have been handled: RingCentral would forward the call to my cell phone if the caller dialed in between the hours of 10 AM and 5 PM, depending on what extension the caller selected. If the caller selected the Jaxtr extension the call would [+]
