International eBay sales and Jaxtr
I work with a man in Germany who buys things on eBay. Every now and then he wants to buy something but the item is in the United States (eBay U.S.) but the seller will not ship internationally. At first my friend would send me a message through eBay. If you sell on eBay you know that people can “ask the seller a question” about any item in your inventory. What really happens is people find one of your items, click to ask a question, and then ask something that is not related to the item. There is a solution for eBay sellers.
My friend started calling me on the phone from Germany. He has high speed Internet and one of those VoIP phones like Vonage is in the U.S. and Canada. It still wasn’t free, but he would call me or email me if he needed something from eBay in the U.S., and I would broker the deal and ship the items. As part of our arrangement if I had to call him in Germany I would bill him for the cost of the call. Finally I convinced him that free phone calls, free text messages, and free voicemail was a smarter choice. My friend signed up for Jaxtr.
