Text Messages and SMS Made Easy
You can send a text message right now. Then you can get a widget like the one shown here, or include a link in your emails. Send text messages around the world, not just to a cell phone number.
Let’s face it – text messages are cool and a lot of fun. I discovered a way to let people text me from MySpace, Facebook, or any place where I want to show of my Jaxtr widget. When people text me they have the option to hide their email address. It’s just like on eBay where you can ask the seller a question but you can hide your email address from them. Or you can just put a link in your email or blog and people can text you. My link is http://www.jaxtr.com/allvoipsearch
If you are thinking that’s nice but I already have Txt2Day on your MySpace account let me show you my Jaxtr widget. You can see it on my VoIP website. (opens in a new window so you don’t lose your place)
Notice you can text me, VM me, or call me. Voicemail is fast, just like texting. And with Jaxtr I don’t need to know your phone number, and you don’t need to know other people’s phone numbers either. Jaxtr places a high value on your privacy, letting you make the final decision.
Text messages started out as “short message text” or SMS. These SMS gateways exist to connect mobile SMS services with instant message (IM) services, the web, desktop computers, and even landline telephones using speech synthesis. One big difference between Txt2Day and texting through Jaxtr is you can text somebody that is overseas or on vacation.
We all know how high our phone bill can get if we send a lot of text messages. Texting through Jaxtr is free. But check out what other countries do with text messages. In Finland some TV channels began “SMS chat”, which involved sending short messages to a phone number, and the messages would be shown on TV a while later. Chats are always moderated, which prevents sending harmful material to the channel. The craze soon became popular and evolved into games, first slow-paced quiz and strategy games. (Finland was where Conan O’Brien joked that he resembles the first female President of Finland, Tarja Halonen.)
